A popular ornamental tree that’s covered in pink flowers in spring and persistent red fruit in fall, canopy of dark foliage. Needs well-drained soil and full sun. The fruit does make excellent food for wildlife. The foliage is glossy reddish-green, turning reddish-purple in fall.
