Healthy Trees. Thriving Ecosystems. A Scientific Approach.
Trees aren’t just part of your yard—they’re part of your life. They shade your home in the summer, add beauty to your landscape, and even increase the value of your property. But what happens when they start showing signs of distress? Wilting leaves, brittle branches, unexpected decay—these are warning signs that many homeowners overlook until it’s too late.
That’s where we come in.
At Eco Tree Company, we do more than trim and remove trees—we diagnose, treat, and protect them using a science-based approach that gets to the root of the problem.
Our team of certified arborists isn’t here to sell you a quick fix. We’re tree doctors, and we’re on a mission to give trees the expert care they deserve.
What Makes Eco Tree Different?
Most tree companies focus on symptoms—treating the most visible symptoms without investigating the deeper cause. But trees are complex, living organisms, and true care requires a deeper understanding. Just like a doctor wouldn’t prescribe medication without a full examination, we believe every tree deserves a thorough diagnosis before any action is taken.
We look beyond the surface, digging into the soil, analyzing environmental stressors, and assessing biological health to uncover the true root of the issue. Whether it’s a nutrient deficiency, an underlying disease, or structural instability, we identify the cause—not just the effect—so we can apply the right solution, the first time. Our scientific approach ensures that every treatment we recommend is precise, effective, and tailored to the unique needs of your tree, helping it thrive for years to come.
The Science-Based Approach: More Than Just Tree Care—It’s Tree Medicine
Step 1. Diagnosis
Understanding the Problem at Its Core
- Soil Analysis: Trees depend on the microbiology of the soil. We test for nutrient deficiencies, pH balance, and root structure health.
- Tree Stress Testing: Using advanced techniques, we assess whether your tree is experiencing stress from disease, drought, soil compaction, or pests.
- Fungal & Pest Identification: Many tree diseases are invisible to the untrained eye. Our arborists use cutting-edge methods to identify threats before they become unmanageable.
Step 2: Customized Treatment
A Science-Back Plan
- Biological Treatments: Instead of relying on harsh chemicals, we use natural bio-stimulants to strengthen trees from the inside out
- Soil Health Improvement: We enhance root zone environments through air spading, organic soil amendments, and nutrient-rich composting to rebuild the soil’s ecosystem.
- Targeted Disease Management: We apply precise, science-backed treatments for conditions like oak wilt, Dutch elm disease, and chlorosis, ensuring only the necessary intervention is used—nothing excessive.
Step 3: Mitigation
Long-Term Health & Sustainability
- Proactive Pruning for Growth Optimization – We shape trees to improve structure, reduce storm damage risk, and encourage natural, strong growth.
- Cabling & Bracing for Stability – Trees with structural weaknesses get extra support, preventing breakage and extending lifespan.
- Annual Health Checkups – Just like humans get check-ups, trees need regular evaluations to catch potential issues early.
The Result? Healthier, stronger trees that live longer, grow stronger, and enhance the natural beauty of your space—all without unnecessary removals.
The People Behind the Science.
Many people notice their trees looking unhealthy—browning leaves, thinning canopies, unusual spots—but don’t know what’s causing it or what to do next.
- Certified Arborists Who Love What They Do – Every member of our team shares a deep respect for trees and the science behind them.
- A Commitment to Learning – We stay ahead of industry advancements, attending workshops, conducting research, and integrating the latest tree science into our methods.
- Sustainability at Our Core – We believe that tree care should work with nature, not against it. Our treatments prioritize long-term tree health and ecological balance.
Trees are more than landscaping. They’re part of a living, breathing system—and we’re here to keep that system thriving.
Why Choose Eco Tree Company?
- We Prioritize Preservation Over Removal – If a tree can be saved, we’ll do everything possible to restore it to health.
- Every Decision Is Rooted in Science – No guesswork. No unnecessary treatments. Just expert-backed solutions tailored to each tree’s unique needs.

A Message From The Owner

My passion for the urban environment started long before I attended college for urban forestry in 2006. I’ve been a dedicated arborist in the Madison and Dane county area since 2008. Sustainability and preservation of the urban forest have been my main focus since becoming a professional arborist. I had a formal education in Urban Tree Care at Mid-State Technical College. From there, I went on to work and train with several of the best and most respected arborists in Madison, Wisconsin. Through the years I’ve sharpened my focus and specialized in disease diagnosis and treatment.
I am truly dedicated to being a top arborist and continuing my education with the Wisconsin Arborist Association (WAA) and the International Arborist Association because I believe to have the most positive impact, you must constantly seek cutting-edge education and research.
