You Love Trees. You Love Science. You Love Climbing Things You Probably Shouldn’t.
Then you might just be the Tree Doc we’re looking for.
At Eco Tree Company, we don’t just cut trees—we understand them, diagnose them, and help them live their best lives. Think of us as tree whisperers, but with chainsaws, microscopes, and a whole lot of science.
We need smart, strong, and curious people who want to spend their days outside, using both their brains and their hands. If that sounds like you, keep reading. If not, keep reading anyway—you might just realize this is exactly what you’ve been looking for.
Why Work at Eco Tree Company?
You Want a Career That’s Actually Exciting
If you want to sit at a desk, this isn’t for you. If you want to challenge yourself, work outside, and actually see the impact of your work, we welcome you.
Training & Growth – Become a True Expert
We don’t just throw you a rope and hope for the best. We train you to be a master in your craft. Whether you’re new or experienced, we provide:
- Paid WAA membership and yearly conference attendance
- Hands-on mentorship from expert arborists
- Training in climbing, pruning, plant health, and tree science.
Safety & Professionalism Matter Here
Some companies cut corners—we cut dead branches, not safety standards. We set high expectations because we believe in doing things the right way.
What’s an Arborists (Tree Doc) at Eco Tree?
Arborists at Eco Tree don’t just show up and trim branches. They solve problems, use science, and make real environmental impact. Whether you’re climbing the tallest trees, diagnosing sick ones, or making sure they have the nutrients they need, you’ll never have a boring day.
We hire Arborists (Tree Docs) in specialties but everyone gets cross-trained because versatility makes you dangerous (in the best way possible).

Climbers
You belong in the trees. You move fast, think fast, and work smart. Heights? No problem. Physics? You use it every day. You’re a tree surgeon with a rope and a saw.
- You love climbing and have the agility of a squirrel on espresso
- You think rigging and problem-solving under pressure is just another Tuesday
- You like working with your hands, controlling chaos, and making hard things look easy

Plant Health Specialists
If you’ve ever stopped mid-walk to examine a leaf, question why a tree is struggling, or name an insect (and weren’t kidding)—this is for you. You’re fascinated by plant biology and love figuring out what makes trees tick.
- You have an affinity for diagnosing things (trees, bugs, maybe even your friends)
- You know (or want to know) about plant pathology, soil microbiology, and urban forestry
- You’re obsessed with understanding the natural world
What We Look for in a Tree Doc
- A strong sense of teamwork. The person working next to you is counting on you for their safety, success, and sanity—and you can count on them, too.
- A love for the outdoors. If you prefer air conditioning, you’re going to have a bad time.
- The drive to push yourself. You want to become an expert—not just “do a job”.
- Problem-solving skills. You see challenges as puzzles to be solved, not roadblocks to complain about.
- For Climbers: Physical fitness and agility—if you enjoy hiking, climbing, or moving fast, you’ll fit right in.
- For Plant Health Specialists: A fascination with plant biology, soil science, and bugs that most people would rather ignore. No experience? No problem. If you have the right attitude and work ethic, we’ll teach you everything you need to know.
